MISSION STATEMENT

 

To promote through education, lobbying and programs, the conservation and utilization of fish and wildlife and to protect and enhance the habitat they depend on and to protect our hunting and fishing heritage in Alberta

  


INFORMATION

  • Wildwood based club affiliated with the Alberta Fish and Game Association

  • Works with government, community, and land owners to promote and enhance fish and wildlife

  • Promote hunting, fishing, and shooting sports

  • Active in opposing Bill C 68 gun legislation

  • Have certified instructors and runs courses in Hunting Education, Fishing education, Canadian Firearms Safety and Boating

  • Owns and operates the Edson Reynolds Gun Range

  • Steward's of Stone's Fish Pond

  • Sends newsletters to club members

  • Holds regular club meetings at the Club House at the Range on the 2nd Thursday of every month at 7:30 pm at the range

EDSON REYNOLD'S GUN RANGE

Location --- One mile east of Wildwood on highway 16 turn   north on Range Road 91. Proceed two and one half miles north and then east on Twp Rd 541A for one half mile. The range is on the north side of the road. The range has covered shooting benches at 100, 200, 300 yard rifle range, 50 yard small bore handgun and shotgun range. The range is certified by Department of Justice Canada.

 


 

STONE'S FISH POND

Location --- Two and one half miles west of Wildwood on highway 16 turn south on Range Road 95. Proceed about one half mile south and turn west on Twp 534 ('T' intersection). Proceed about one half mile and the fish pond is on the north side of the road. The fish pond produces rainbow trout to over seven pounds but most are smaller. The pond is stocked with rainbows each spring. Alberta Fishing Regulations apply to the pond, but catch and release is encouraged. The pond is open to public fishing year round. A great place to bring the family.
