The Chip Lake Historical Society is a local history society that continues to preserve the past, present and the future of the Wildwood and district communities.

Past endeavors were focused solely on the preservation of our community's history by the publishing of two books, Where the River Lobstick Flows Vol I (1987) & II (2005).

In 2000 we began a community signboard that advertised businesses, organizations, the school, entertainment & recreation and churches & cemeteries of Wildwood. This sign board was the foundation of this web site of www.wildwoodalberta.ca. We have moved Wildwood into the internet age.

This web site is prepared and maintained by volunteers and a paid web master for the Chip Lake Historical Society.
